CASE OF RECURRENT BENIGN CYSTIC SWELLING DIAGNOSED BY FNAC Chief Complaints 17 Y FEMALE PATIENT C/O RECURRENT SWELLING IN LEFT POSTERIOR UPPER ARM . History ÑO SIGNIFICANT PAST HISTORY OF ANY DISEASES,ILLNESSES H/O SWELLING AT THE SAME SITE PRESENT IN THE PAST. Vitals GC AVERAGE BP 120/80 MMHG PR 74/MIN Physical Examination 10.2x6.8 CM SOFT TO CYSTIC NON TENDER SWELLING IN LEFT SIDE POSTERIOR ASPECT OF ARM SINCE 1_2 MONTHS Investigations CBC AND FNAC OF THE SWELLING WAS ADVISED Diagnosis 5 ML YELLOWISH FLUID ASPIRATED. THE CYTOFUGE H&E STAINED SMEARS SHOW INFLAMMATORY CELLS COMPRISING OF POLYMORPHS,HISTIOCYTES,PLASMA CELLS AND MACROPHAGES AMIDST THE AMORPHOUS BACKGROUND #DIAGNOSIS OF BENIGN CYSTIC SWELLING WITH HEMORRHAGIC DEGENERATION MADE Management SURGICAL EXCISION OF THE SWELLING ADVISED

inflammatory cyst

It is a cystic lesion comprising mostly of fair number of eosinophils, some neutrophils, lymphoplasmacytoid cells, cyst macrophages.. amidst mucomyxoud and hemorrhagic background. Dd. Parasitic cyst.. search for filaria(nocturnal blood, histologic sections).. or cysticercal patholgy(T. soliun IgG/biopsy) Cystic lymphangioma. Cystic change in Kimura.
